Quality Manager

Tubotech Plumbing Products Philippines Corporation, a manufacturing company established in 2007 and located at the Laguna International Industrial Park (LIIP) Mamplasan, Biñan, Laguna Tubotech Philippines is the manufacturing base for our head office located in Australia.

Tubotech specializes in the design and manufacture of stainless-steel tubular products such as bathroom support rails, shower seats, faucets, bathroom accessories, and plumbing components. Manufacturing processes include CNC bending, TIG welding, Metal Polishing, CNC Lathe, CNC Machining Centre.

Job Description:

• Leads the QAQC department with strategic direction and management in order to achieve the quality objectives and directions of the company.
• Accomplishes employee results by clearly communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising results
• Develops and implements quality programs that meet customer requirements and satisfaction with provision of roadmap of continuous improvement.
• Establishes training programs for knowledge and competency enhancement of all team members in the department and in the organization regarding Quality Management System, Total Quality Management and Continuous Improvement.
• Establishes and implements required manuals, procedures, work instructions, forms and supporting documents for Quality Management System (ISO 9001, 14001, 31000, 45001), Total Quality Management and Continuous Improvement.
• Takes responsibility for the teams' output.
• Acts as a Lead Auditor of internal quality audits in compliance to ISO 19011 for maintainability, standardization and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensures that all procedures and methods for quality testing and evaluation comply with established quality standards through validation, verification, and calibration.
• Establishes and implements Key Performance Indicators for Quality to gauge and improve quality performances both for QAQC Department and for the organization.
• Acts as liaison between the company, its suppliers and its customers for the management of performance reviews, business planning and problem solving.
• Develops the monthly schedule of all the team members in accordance to their job descriptions; and can adjust the schedule to facilitate completion of assigned task consistent with test requirements and personnel capabilities.
• Ensures 5S+1 and safety are maintained in the workplace at all times
• Completes probationary reviews, annual performance appraisals and set key performance indicators for direct reports (with support from HR)
• Monitors and manages direct reports conduct and performance; where minor matters arise provide constructive feedback and on the job coaching; where serious matters arise or problems initiate disciplinary processes in consultation with HR
• Participates in recruitment activities for direct reports and inducts and trains QC team new starters

Qualifications:

• Required to have a Bachelor's/College Degree of any Engineering Course or other-related courses. With at least five (5) years of professional experience in similar position preferably gained in an ISO-certified metal fabrication or manufacturing setup.
• Trained in quality systems such as ISO 9001 and GMP
• Trained in auditing for quality systems such as ISO 9001
• Trained with expertise in Quality Improvement Tools, Total Quality Management, Lean Management, and Six Sigma Methodologies
• Inventory System experience
• Management and Leadership Skills (Planning, Organizing, Team motivation
