Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting entries.
2. General Accounting Management
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and payroll entries.
  • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Manage reconciliation of bank accounts, supplier statements, and balance sheet accounts.
3. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
  • Ensure adherence to Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Oversee government filings: BIR returns, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
4. Internal Controls & Process Improvement
  • Implement and monitor internal accounting controls.
  • Recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems.
  • Ensure accuracy in documentation and recordkeeping.
5. Team Coordination
  • Supervise, mentor, and assist Accounting Associates or staff.
  • Coordinate with other departments for financial data and documentation.
  • Provide support for management requests and financial planning.
6. Inventory & Asset Management (If applicable)
  • Monitor fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Reconcile inventory records with operations or warehouse teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is an advantage, but not required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
  • Experience in supervising accounting staff is preferred.
  • Strong background in Philippine taxation and government compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and PFRS.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Netsuite, Xero, or similar).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliation).
