About the Role

Theos Cyber is looking for a Security Consultant (Penetration Tester) to join our team of security professionals. This role is responsible for delivering Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration testing services for various clients in a consultative manner with the goal of helping them improve their overall security. 

Key Responsibilities

As a Security Consultant (Penetration Tester), you will:

  • Deliver Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Tests (VAPT) for various companies and enterprise clients.      
  • Perform security testing against many different types of applications (web, mobile, thick clients) and networks.
  • Create reports and document technical issues identified during security assessments utilizing standard CWE and CVSS classifications.
  • Research on emerging topics on security, new threats, new attacks, new techniques and other trends in the security space.   
  • Work independently to meet customer and project deadlines.
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders in a collaborative/consultative manner to deliver results, provide feedback and remediation recommendations to help them improve their security posture.      
  • Provide security trainings and advisories to clients and to the team.
  • Contribute to the community through development of security tools, presentations, white papers, and blogs.

Core Qualifications: 

  • At least 2 years of experience in security with major focus on application security and/or penetration testing in a consulting environment·      
  • The ability to articulate and explain technical scenarios and findings to a non-technical audience.
  • Able to manage and work with different stakeholders (project managers, developers, non-tech app owners)·     
  • Loves security and the security community :)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, preferably related to Computer Science, Engineering, Math or IT
  • OSCP/CREST/GPEN/OSWE/GWAPT or similar certifications is highly preferred
  • Ability to write tools or custom scripts to aid in automation or penetration tests
  • Good consulting and client communication skills
