DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performed installation of new glass and or repair from high to mid-rise commercial buildings.
  • Coordinated projects with office staff, contractors and super intendants per customer request Install and repair commercial interior glass panels.
  • Measured and installed insulated glass (IG units) in various types of glazing projects Residential and Commercial.
  • Cut, fabricated, built Various storefront and curtain wall systems.
  • Measured and install and or remove mirrors in various projects of various sizes.
  • Prepped glass for installation then go to various locations and install glass.
  • Engaged the client through conversation to determine the client's needs.
  • Provided product and project outcome knowledge to clients with a thorough explanation of the policy, procedures, and a variety of finishing outcome.
  • Commercial and residential glass installer.
  • Sold additional services, the customer does not anticipate could afford or need.
  • Maintained the cleanliness of the store to ensure a presentable sales environment.
  • Installed glass in millwork products, such as doors, window sashes, china closets, and office partitions.
  • Diagnosed and repaired glass defects, such as chips and cracks.
  • Repaired and replaced rotting window sashes.
  • Cut and removed the broken glass to prepare for the installation of new glass.
  • Discussed various grades of glass with customers to help them choose the best glass for their needs.
  • Added weather seals around glass install in windows to prevent leaks.
  • Provided cost estimates to customers based on their needs.
  • Around different coal mines, and install glass into Heavy equipment.
  • To help installation project when there is a need for back up.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Vocational or College Level
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in construction environment as Glass Installer
  • Exposure to Installation and Construction
  • Experience in glass installation, including residential and commercial projects.
  • Knowledge of various types of glass and installation techniques.
  • Proficient in using tools and equipment related to glass installation.
  • Attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
