Network Engineer

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of the TV station's communication infrastructure. This includes managing and troubleshooting broadcast links, microwave transmission systems, and satellite uplinks/downlinks to ensure seamless signal transmission and network reliability. The engineer will work closely with broadcast and IT teams to maintain optimal performance and compliance with technical standards.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and diagnostic software.
  • Knowledge of satellite link budgeting and alignment.
  • Strong understanding of RF principles and transmission systems.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 year's experience in broadcast, telecom network engineering
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking, microwave systems, and satellite communication
  • Hands-on experience with broadcast link setups and RF signal flow
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to network outages
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and on-call duties
