Librarian

FEU Roosevelt - Rodriguez Campus is looking for a Licensed Librarian to join our team. He/ she will be expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities;

• Have an overall responsibility for the management of the school library
• Participate in developing and updating policies concerning material selection, circulation, copyright, privacy, and acceptable use;
• Ensure equitable access and responsible use of information by developing and maintaining a collection of resources appropriate to the curriculum, the learners, and the teaching styles and instructional strategies used in the FEUR.
• Provide leadership and expertise in the selection, acquisition, evaluation, and organization of information recourses and technologies in all formats;
• Develop and maintain links with external agencies and partners to optimize the use of appropriate materials and information such as public libraries, museums, community learning centers and other local authorities;
• Manage, develop and organize the library resources to ensure access to effective learning resources and information services which supports teaching, learning and research
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the services provided by the library and implement changes where necessary
• Contribute to the development and promotion of the use of relevant ICT applications to support learning and teaching including online database, ebooks, library platforms and keeps abreast of ICT initiatives which have impact on the delivery of library services
• Organize and coordinate an orientation programs for teachers and students in respect to library services, available resources, and daily operations hours.

Qualifications;

• Licensed Librarian
• With Master's Degree in Library Science is an advantage.
• At least 3 years work experience in the related field
• Adept in library science practices, procedures and terminologies;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Creative thinking skills
