Job Summary:

The Bellman/Concierge serves as a key point of contact for guests, offering a warm welcome, luggage assistance, and personalized recommendations to enhance their stay. This role combines hospitality, local knowledge, and logistical support to ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities:Bellman Duties:

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure.
  • Assist with luggage handling, including delivery to and from guest rooms.
  • Escort guests to rooms and explain room features and hotel amenities.
  • Arrange transportation (taxis, shuttle service, valet).
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby and bell desk area.
  • Assist with package delivery, storage, and retrieval.
  • Handle guest requests efficiently and professionally.

Concierge Duties:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information about hotel services, local attractions, dining, shopping, and entertainment options.
  • Make restaurant, transportation, tour, and event reservations for guests.
  • Assist with special guest requests (e.g., flowers, spa appointments, celebrations).
  • Maintain a log of guest requests and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Foster strong relationships with local vendors and service providers.
  • Stay informed about local events, traffic, and weather conditions to offer helpful suggestions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality education preferred.
  • Prior experience in guest services, front desk, or concierge roles is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of the local area, attractions, and transportation options.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to lift and carry luggage (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
  • Multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, guest-focused hospitality environment.
  • Regular interaction with guests, staff, and third-party service providers.
  • May involve physical activity such as lifting, walking, or standing for extended periods.
