1. Material Inspection & Testing

ü Inspect and test incoming raw materials (cement, aggregates, sand, water, admixtures) for compliance with specifications.

ü Maintain records of suppliers and quality certificates for all materials.

ü Ensure storage conditions of materials prevent contamination or degradation.

2. Concrete Mix Design

ü Develop, review, and optimize concrete mix designs based on project requirements.

ü Ensure mix designs meet strength, durability, and workability requirements.

ü Perform trial mixes and analyze results before production.

3. Production Monitoring

ü Supervise batching operations to ensure accurate mix proportions.

ü Monitor moisture content in aggregates and adjust water content accordingly.

ü Ensure uniformity and consistency in concrete batches.

4. On-Site Quality Assurance

ü Conduct slump tests, temperature checks, and other fresh concrete tests on-site.

ü Coordinate with site engineers to ensure timely delivery and placement of concrete.

ü Address and investigate any issues related to concrete defects or failures.

5. Preparation for Demolding

ü Ensure all demolding practices comply with applicable standards.

6. Laboratory Testing & Reporting

ü Perform compressive strength tests and other necessary lab tests.

ü Analyze test results and report deviations or failures to management.

ü Maintain proper documentation of all test results and quality reports.

7. Calibration & Maintenance

ü Ensure regular calibration and maintenance of batching equipment, lab equipment, and testing tools.

ü Keep records of calibration certificates and equipment service logs.

8. Compliance & Documentation

ü Ensure all activities comply with relevant standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, BS, IS codes).

ü Prepare and maintain quality control documents, reports, and daily logs.

ü Assist in audits and quality assessments by clients or regulatory bodies.

9. Problem Solving & Improvement

ü Investigate causes of non-conforming concrete and recommend corrective actions.

ü Implement quality improvement plans to enhance product consistency and reduce waste.

10. Training & Supervision

ü Train plant operators and technicians on quality standards and procedures.

ü Monitor staff performance related to quality processes.
