Job Title : Grocery Bagger

Responsibilities:

• Bagging Groceries: Safely and efficiently bag customers' groceries according to store policies and guidelines, taking care to separate items by weight, fragility, and temperature sensitivity.
• Assisting Customers: Provide friendly and courteous assistance to customers as they approach the checkout counter, offering to bag their groceries and providing additional help as needed, such as lifting heavy items or retrieving forgotten items from the store floor.
• Maintaining Checkout Area: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and free of clutter, including removing empty carts and baskets, replenishing bagging supplies, and disposing of trash and recycling materials in designated bins.
• Following Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of customers and staff.
• Providing Customer Service: Offer assistance and answer questions from customers regarding store policies, products, and services.
• Supporting Team Operations: Collaborate with other team members, including cashiers, supervisors, and store managers, to ensure the smooth operation of the checkout process and overall store operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in bagging groceries and handling fragile items.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the store schedule.
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role may be beneficial but is not required.
