Overview:
The LMS Administrator is responsible for designing, developing, and configuring high-quality online learning experiences within the organisation's Learning Management System (LMS). This role includes building online assessment (OLA) courses, developing both internal and external course materials, and participating in LMS instance configuration and maintenance. The administrator collaborates with internal teams, and resource partners to deliver customised and compliant interactive learning solutions that support diverse learning objectives.
Responsibilities:
As an LMS Administrator, your primary responsibilities are:
OLA (Online Learning Assessment) Builds
Design and manage OLA courses using structured forms and task breakdowns
- Ensure assessments align with instructional resources and quality compliance standards
Implement formative and summative activities and configure appropriate grading setups
Updating Course Builds
Review and update existing course builds for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with current in-house resources
- Revise learning materials, assessments, SCORM packages, and activity settings
Ensure changes are version-controlled, tested, approved, and properly endorsed
Custom Course Builds
Develop customised LMS courses based on client-supplied content, branding guidelines, and structural requirements
- Prepare task breakdown estimates/quotes for custom builds
Collaborate closely with clients to convert content into cohesive and interactive digital learning solutions
External Course Builds
Create client LMS content using in-house course build templates
Upload, structure, and publish course materials according to external content guidelines and quality standards
System Builds
Assist in setting up new LMS instances, including branding, user roles, plugin activation, categories, and system configurations
- Conduct initial user testing to ensure functionality and usability
- Ensure system setups follow specifications endorsed by the subscriptions team
Required skills and experience:
- 1–3 years LMS administration or eLearning development experience
- Skilled in course builds, assessments, SCORM packages, and LMS configuration
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and compliance
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with authoring tools (Articulate Rise/Storyline, H5P, Captivate) a plus
