Your Team's Impact
Irwin Data Collection & Research team specializes in providing tools that help businesses manage their investor relations activities, engage with shareholders, and enhance communication with the financial markets. These services are designed to improve how companies interact with investors and streamline related processes.
As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for collating, maintaining, and updating relevant fields in the database with accurate information in accordance with the defined work process. You will be analyzing these content sets by reviewing official updates from our trusted sources that can be in the form of feeds, corporate action mails, press releases, and other reports; thereby making it available to FactSet clients in real-time and in top quality. You will report to the Team Lead and assist in meeting the team's business goals by meeting your individual targets. This role requires onsite work as needed within a hybrid work schedule.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of global investors and investment organizations, encompassing hedge funds, pension funds, family offices, and retail investment advisors.
- Maintain the accuracy and completeness of investor profiles on the platform, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Provide timely and effective support to clients, addressing requests and completing ad-hoc tasks with a focus on prioritization and responsiveness.
- Proactively identify and report software bugs within the research infrastructure application, collaborating with the product team to recommend and implement enhancements.
- Research, evaluate, and implement new tools and technologies to streamline research workflows and automate data capture processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy.
What We're Looking For
Required Skills
- Graduate in Commerce / Business Management / Finance / Accounting / Economics or equivalent
- Computer Literacy to effectively use the database and software for collection and processing of content/data
Desired Skills
- Must have good communications skills - written & verbal need to interact with external and internal clients
- Numerical skills to ensure understanding of the financial data to be collected and/or processed
- Analytical skills and detail orientation to ensure accuracy of data
- Good knowledge of Excel. Must be able to manipulate large spreadsheets
- Business process demands to work in night shifts
- Willing to work extended hours as per the business needs
- Willing to be assigned to other projects
- Driven by success, enthusiasm, and a desire to exceed target
- Willing to work on a 10:00PM - 7:00AM shift
