URGENT Sr. Dietitian

Qualifications:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Checks the diet lists prepared by nurses from nurse stations

● Get census of all the patient

● Supervises dishing out of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and checks the

tray for completeness and general appearance

● Updates the patients' diet checklist

● Confers with superiors and medical staff regarding dietary or nutritional problems

of individual patients

● Follow up tray for new admissions/discharged

● Performs related work as required.

SR. DIETITIAN (1 Slot)

Graduate of a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition & Dietetics or

equivalent

● Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian with updated license

● At least 2 years experience as Senior Dietitian

JOB DESCRIPTION:

● In conjunction with medical and nursing professional, prescribes specific foods

suitable for the individual patient's clinical condition as well as evaluate food

consumed, specific recipe ingredients, weights of foods and methods of

preparation and cooking for all therapeutic meals.

● Liaises with chefs to ensure that recipes, preparation and cooking procedures

and portion sizes are appropriate for each patient with special needs.

● Monitors the preparation, cooking, and service procedures for therapeutic meals.

● Assist in the training of therapeutic cooks.

● Adopts a proactive approach to promote dietetic awareness and healthy eating

principles.

● Gives diet instruction to patients upon request of physicians and patients.

● Plan diets for patients and educate people on food related issues.

● Mentor and supervise junior dietitians, dietetic assistants/aides and students

● Direct and coordinate the quality assurance function for the Food Services to

identify and make recommendations to correct problem areas which affect patient

care

● Performs related work as required.
