Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for digital power systems, ensuring high-quality code development, testing, and integration to minimize bugs and improve product reliability
  • Plan and execute firmware development schedules, identify risks early, and ensure on-time project delivery
  • Debug and resolve customer-reported issues, establish troubleshooting methodologies, and provide timely solutions
  • Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and test teams throughout the product lifecycle to achieve performance, safety, and compliance targets
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers in coding practices, firmware design, and PCBA debugging, supporting on-the-job training and knowledge sharing
  • Provide proposals for process and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and adoption rates
  • Prepare documentation for product release

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience and above
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • In depth understanding of control theory
  • Experience with mixed signal circuit debugging and testing in power electronics is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in non-OS embedded C firmware development
  • Experience with python (or similar) programming skills is a plus
  • Experience with multi-core MCU and DSP firmware design and preemptive scheduling
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI, PMBus, or UART
  • Knowledge of version control tools(e.g., Git, SVN), collaborative development workflows, and unit testing
  • Hands-on experience with switched-mode digital power supply firmware design and feedback compensation implementation
  • Team-oriented, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good Mandarin reading and listening ability is preferred

Job Summary:

Develop and optimize embedded firmware for digital power supply firmware at AES-KY, with responsibilities covering multi-core MCU and DSP design, system debugging, customer issue resolution, and performance improvement. Collaborate across hardware, firmware, and testing teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and safety compliance. Provide technical mentorship and process improvements to drive team efficiency and product innovation.
