The Roster Clerk plays an integral role in ensuring services are delivered to customers. This position is responsible for coordinating the delivery of services using a team of community support professionals.
The role involves liaising with team leaders, case managers, and customers to ensure services are provided in accordance with the customer's assessed needs and the availability of support professionals. The overall responsibility is to provide quality operational services while maintaining efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with procedural requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage staff rosters for Support Professionals, ensuring they are clearly communicated and accurately entered into Alaya Care in a timely manner.
- Verify timesheets and investigate discrepancies in timesheets and kilometre allowance sheets with support professionals.
- Set up service addresses (geo-coding) and track any changes or variations to scheduled visits.
- Arrange replacement staff to cover sick and annual leave, planned or unplanned absences, shift changes, and non-compliance with customer services.
- Coordinate and monitor the relevant needs of individual customers and families in an ongoing and systematic way.
- Meet specified and appropriate standards for the delivery of customer services.
- Ensure ongoing development of flexible and innovative services through continuous improvement.
- Provide supervision, support, and direction to Support Professionals.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality services to clients.
- Manage day-to-day activities of the service.
- Monitor the implementation of individualised plans for customers.
- Ensure that the rights, interests, and needs of people we support are addressed effectively.
- Understand and respect the linguistic and cultural diversity of the people we support.
- Comply with all Just Better Care policies and procedures, including full adherence to the Staff Code of Conduct.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and respectful behaviour in all interactions, in line with JBC standards and expectations.
About you . . .
Essential
- At Least 3-4 years of experience in a rostering position and/or strong understanding of the disability, aged care, or community care sectors.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills, including confidence in using Microsoft Suite.
- Experience working with aged care or community care sector CRM systems.
- Proven relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders, as well as strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and accurately in a fast-paced team environment, including multitasking and prioritising workloads.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Experience working toward targets to meet program outputs and outcomes.
- Commitment to working within a strengths-based, person-centred framework.
Desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in a coordination team delivering services within the community sector or similar.
