We're seeking a Manager, Operational Risk & Resilience Governance to join our Global Operational Risk & Resilience Oversight (ORRO) team — an independent second line function providing oversight, challenge, and guidance across all operational risk activities.

In this role, you'll help ensure that operational risks are effectively managed and aligned with risk appetite. You'll oversee and challenge the implementation of key risk standards and methodologies, partnering closely with stakeholders across business, functions, and geographies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight of ORRO standards and methodologies (e.g. third-party risk, business continuity management, change risk, control testing, RCSA, scenario analysis, issues management).
  • Conduct independent reviews and validations to ensure effective execution of operational risk management processes.
  • Develop detailed documentation and dashboards on review outcomes, metrics, and remediation progress.
  • Partner with first and second line teams — including Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Technology — to drive consistent risk practices.
  • Facilitate training sessions, develop materials, and monitor completion to uplift operational risk capability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across Risk Programs and promote a strong risk culture.
  • Lead and develop a small team responsible for centralized oversight activities.
About You
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in operational risk management, governance, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks and controls, with in-depth expertise in OSFI E-21 preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of financial services or insurance operations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with Power BI or other analytics tools is an advantage.
  • University degree required; professional designation in risk management or governance preferred.
