Summary

The role of the project manager is to plan, execute, monitor and drive projects for successful achievements in terms of qualified deliverables (On Quality) within agreed schedule/timeline (On Time) within approved cost / budget (On Cost). This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The project manager will also define the project's objectives and scope and to support RFx management for all business models in company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from Kick off to Mass Production/Ramp down
  • Define Project Scope and Project Plan / Milestone / Schedule. Develop full scale project plans and associated Project and communication documents, using appropriate tools
  • Full ownership of all aspects of the project related issues, esp. on Cost, Qualified Product and Leadtime Full ownership of driving project successful deliverables / first delivery
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of the required personnel form within the company.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project status and actions / expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. keep liaising and discussing project stakeholder's project related issues ongoing basis. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts during the whole Project Life Cycle, think solutions
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
  • Manage good business relationships with customers and/or suppliers, when necessary, Support Customers Audit / Visit

Qualifications

  • Good, communicated skills, in English and Chinese / Mandarin (written and spoken) -plus
  • Well verse in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Related experiences from project management (5 years), preferably from the consumer electronics and/or soft goods industry.
  • Specific production competence in one or more within OSM capabilities are preferred
  • International experience from working with customers located in the US, Europe and Asia.
  • Experience of working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. This can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Flexible during times of change.
  • Adapt at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies Customer service skills and assets
  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
