Cloud Solutions Architect (Azure-Focused)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect responsible for designing, articulating, and delivering end-to-end cloud-native solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. This role requires strong hands-on capability in cloud architecture design, solution definition, and tool selection, with the ability to clearly explain and justify architectural decisions based on real-world scenarios.

The ideal candidate must go beyond platform migration experience and demonstrate the ability to design complete solution architectures, select appropriate tools, and adapt architectures to evolving project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Solution & Cloud Architecture

• Design end-to-end cloud solution architectures based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business and technical requirements into clear, scalable, and secure cloud architectures.
• Propose concrete tools, services, and technologies appropriate to solution scenarios.
• Clearly explain architectural decisions, trade-offs, and design patterns to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Cloud Platforms & Migration

• Lead cloud migration initiatives with emphasis on modernization, not just lift-and-shift.
• Design and implement solutions primarily on Microsoft Azure, with awareness of AWS service equivalents.
• Define cloud security, encryption, identity, networking, and governance models.

Data & Analytics Architecture

• Architect data platforms covering:
• Data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics
• Structured and semi-structured data solutions
• Design ETL/ELT workflows and analytics architectures using modern cloud services.

Technical Leadership

• Act as a technical authority during solution discussions, reviews, and client workshops.
• Provide architectural guidance to development and engineering teams.
• Ensure proposed solutions align with best practices, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Required Technical Skills

Cloud & Architecture

• Microsoft Azure (strong hands-on experience required)
• Cloud-native services (compute, storage, networking, security, data services)
• Architecture patterns (microservices, data lakehouse, event-driven architectures)
• Experience describing complete solution designs, not just platforms

Data & Database Technologies

• SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Understanding of data architecture concepts, purpose, and design differences
• Data encryption concepts (at rest, in transit, key management)

Data Integration & Analytics

• ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (e.g., SSIS or cloud-native equivalents)
• BI and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Databricks, Azure Data Factory)
• Ability to justify tool selection based on use case

Experience Requirements

• 15+ years overall IT experience with demonstrated solution architecture ownership
• Proven experience designing real-world cloud solutions, not limited to platform migration
• Experience articulating proposed solutions in requirement-based scenarios
• Prior exposure to multi-cloud concepts (Azure primary; AWS familiarity expected)

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience implementing cloud-native architectures (not migration-only)
• Experience proposing solutions involving AI/ML integration is an advantage
• Strong consulting, presentation, and solution walkthrough skills

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From Php150,000.00 per month
