Gypsum Installer

Job Summary:

The Gypsum Installer is responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing gypsum boards (drywalls or ceiling panels) in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. This role involves precisely measuring, cutting, and mounting gypsum boards, ensuring a smooth and level finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install gypsum boards on walls and ceilings based on layout plans and specifications.
• Measure and cut gypsum boards to the required dimensions using hand tools and power tools.
• Secure boards using screws, nails, or adhesives to metal or wooden frameworks.
• Apply joint tape and compound to seams, corners, and angles to create a seamless surface.
• Sand and smooth surfaces in preparation for painting or finishing.
• Inspect and repair existing drywall systems as needed.
• Assist in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding or platforms.
• Ensure proper handling, loading, and unloading of materials and equipment.
• Follow company and site-specific safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a gypsum/drywall installer or ceiling installer.
• Skilled in reading blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with construction tools such as T-squares, utility knives, saws, drills, and sanders.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php750.00 per day
