Job summary:

The role of a DevOps engineer combines aspects of a technical role and an IT operations role. DevOps engineers build, test and maintain the infrastructure and tools to allow for the speedy development and release of software.

Job responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with in-house or outsourced software developers and system operators to build, test and maintain the infrastructure and tools to allow for the speedy development and release of software.
  • Automate infrastructure. Configure server images and network infrastructure and optimize overall system performance.
  • Establish performance, error & uptime monitoring and alerts across different systems.
  • Secures cloud infrastructure based on best practices.
  • Support data migration, reporting requirements, information extraction and analysis.
  • Participates in architecture and software development activities.
  • Translates defined requirements into implementable and practical solutions.
  • Uses coding languages and scripting methodologies to solve a problem; must be modular and reusable.
  • Collaborates with others to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
  • Performs incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered.
  • Evaluates open source projects for requirement fit and possible rollout.
  • Cloud cost control --- monitoring and reduction.

Job qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related
  • With at least 3 years of experience in Development operations/ application support
  • Good oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
  • Process-oriented with great documentation (cloud diagram, network diagram, system
  • architecture and components) skills
  • Knowledge of cloud best practices and operations, including security
  • Experience with Agile Software development methodologies
  • Can automate and implement solutions using scripts or programming language
  • Experience with source code control and ci/cd
  • Knowledgeable in common hardware and software systems used in the IT industry
  • Flexible, passionate for work, team player
  • Must be willing to workonsite in Libis, Quezon City
