Role Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to join our team in a hybrid setup. In this role, you will lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable backend systems using Django and FastAPI, while driving best practices and technical excellence across the team.

You will be responsible for building high-performance applications, integrating complex APIs and third-party services, optimizing backend workflows, and contributing to AI-powered features that enhance our product ecosystem. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor developers, participate in technical decision-making, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, innovative software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend applications using Django and FastAPI.
  • Architect scalable and secure systems, ensuring best practices in performance, testing, and maintainability.
  • Write, review, and optimize clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Diagnose and solve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party services, and AI/ML-powered components.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to continuous team improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.
  • Drive innovation by recommending new technologies, tools, and processes.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional Python development experience, with strong expertise in Django and FastAPI.
  • Proven experience in designing and maintaining scalable backend architectures.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to support seamless integration.
  • Demonstrated experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
  • Experience working with AI/ML models or libraries (OpenAI API, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a significant advantage.
  • Skilled in working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
