Planner (Fabrication)

About the role

SteelAsia Manufacturing Corporation, a leading steel manufacturer in the Philippines, is seeking a skilled Planner (Fabrication) to join their dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling the fabrication processes to ensure efficient and timely production at our Meycauayan City Bulacan facility.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimise resource utilisation
• Coordinate with the fabrication team to ensure the timely completion of projects
• Analyse production data and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Collaborate with the sales, procurement, and quality teams to align production plans
• Monitor inventory levels and work in progress to minimise delays and bottlenecks
• Provide regular progress reports to management and key stakeholders
• Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and best practices

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimise production processes
• Proficient in using production planning and scheduling software (e.g., ERP, MRP, or other relevant systems)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
