Major Function

The major function of an outbound checker is to be the final quality control checkpoint, ensuring that all products leaving the facility are accurate and in perfect condition based on the quality standards of Red Ribbon. They meticulously verify that the items match the loading guide, preventing costly shipping errors, and safeguarding the company's inventory and customer satisfaction. Essentially, their role is to guarantee that the right product, in the right quantity, and in the right condition, reaches the customer.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Outbound checkers must ensure that the products being shipped out to each Red Ribbon store are accurate according to the sales order or delivery documents. This includes verifying the type, quantity, and specific items (e.g., specific cake flavors, PBDs)

a. Zero incident of delivery discrepancy

b. Zero incident of wrong checking (actual vs. loading guide)

c. Zero incident of delivered non-conforming items (damage, expired, quality defect)

1. Outbound checkers must inspect the products for any damage, defects, or issues with quality before they are loaded for delivery. This is crucial for delicate items such as cakes. Checkers would need to check for issues like crushed boxes, smudges on the cake, or improper sealing.

a. Zero incident of dispatched damaged items

1. Outbound checkers are responsible for accurately recording all products being loaded (cakes, PBDs and Crates), including any discrepancies or adjustments. This involves comparing the physical count with the loading guide and noting any differences. This information is vital for inventory management and accountability.

a. Zero incident of undocumented discrepancy or adjustments during checking and loading

b. Zero incident of inaccurate checking

c. Zeron incident of unreported discrepancies or adjustments during checking and loading

1. Outbound checkers often oversees or assists the truckers with the loading process to ensure products are handled with care and loaded in a way that minimizes damage during transit. For cakes, this would involve proper stacking on tiered racks and ensuring they are secured and followed based on Red Ribbon standards.

a. Zero incident of deviation of standard procedure

b. Zero incident of unmonitored loading of trucker

1. Outbound checkers must follow all established company procedures and safety protocols. This includes adhering to quality standards, food safety regulations, and proper handling guidelines for Red Ribbon products.

2. Outbound checker must ensure to verify the TDIC (Trucker/Driver Inspection Checklist) of the truck before unloading the items whether it's from supplier or another depot.

a. Zero incident of unverified TDIC

1. Outbound checker must ensure that the standard temperature of the truck were established before loading the items (Chilled Temperature: 1-4°C / Freezer Temperature: -18°C and lower)

a. Zero incident of standard temperature deviation prior loading

Qualifications

1. Professional Qualifications

1. High school graduate

2. Preferably with at least one (1) year job related experience

3. Has right attitude towards work, proactive, dependable, hardworking, result oriented

4. Can work for extended hours

5. Can communicate well with people, easily understand and follow instruction

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
