PDM Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

NATURE OF WORK

• Ensures efficiency and accuracy of Product Configuration.
• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.  Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Provides solutions to complex Product set-up using advanced knowledge on problem-solving.
• Develops/Improves Product Data Management Processes and Procedures.
• Support in ensuring that metrics and KPIs are met.
• Able to adjust to non-routine situations by defining and utilizing appropriate methods and processes.
• Implement Engineering Change Requests and process improvement.
• Supports process studies and define work standards to support manufacturing operations.

Global Trade Function as follows:

• Focal for customer inquiries to CSRs for technical data needed to support customers issues related to aluminum/steel content.
• Investigate and create aluminum/steel content for completed WOs to support global trade import requirements.
• Support HTS classification and global trade database submittal for items imported/stuck in customs for US import.
• Support reclassification efforts to minimize global trade impact/tariff impact for potentially misclassified materials.
• Support Global Trade and supply chain for global trade approval related to placement of POs into China.
• Support processes to promote more proactive work related to classification needs supporting import/export of goods.
• Support classification work being done by ITC PUR team to support sharing of Technical Data.
• Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.

MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Graduate of any Engineering courses.

• Exposure in Bill of Materials and knowledge in engineering drawings interpretation, preferably with experience in Team Center software application.

• Awareness of the certification framework within which the work is undertaken.

• Good teamwork & can work with minimum supervision.
• Highly analytical & very keen on details.

• Effective oral and written communication skills.

• Experience and/or training in configuration management in an aviation engineering environment.

• Shifting Schedule: 6AM-4PM and 6PM- 4AM
