MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

Qualifications:

  • With a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • With active PRC license or certifications as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from a recognized professional body
  • Strong laboratory skills and experience with laboratory equipment of at least one (1) year
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to be sent for external medical missions
  • With Certifications (rHIVda, AFB Microscopy, Bacteriology, Malaria Smear)
  • Willing to be assigned at Checkpoint Mall, Brgy, Paciano, Calamba City Laguna

Job Description:

  • A. Specimen Collection and Processing:

· Collect patient samples, ensuring proper handling and labeling.

· Prepare specimens for analysis, following established procedures

  • B. Laboratory Testing:

· Perform a wide range of laboratory tests, including:

Ø Blood chemistry (e.g., glucose, electrolytes)

Ø Hematology (e.g., complete blood count, blood typing)

Ø Microbiology (e.g., bacterial culture, antibiotic sensitivity)

Ø Immunology (e.g., antibody testing)

Ø Clinical chemistry (e.g., enzyme tests, lipid profile)

  • C. Quality Control:

· Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results by implementing quality control measures.

· Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.

  • D. Data Analysis and Reporting:

· Analyze and interpret laboratory results.

· Prepare accurate and timely laboratory reports.

  • E. Patient Communication:

· Provide patient education regarding laboratory procedures and results, as needed

  • F. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols implemented by the Management or the Department of Health (D.O.H.)
  • G. Perform other tasks by request of the immediate superior relevant to the profession
