Working as part of busy team in Production Area mainly in Flexo-Printing Process. Can be worked and assigned in other relevant processes in order to fulfill production needs.
Traditional method of printing can be used on almost any type of substrate, including corrugated cardboard. The flexographic printing process uses quick-drying, semiliquid inks. Flexographic printing uses flexible rubber printing plates wrapped around rotating cylinders on a corrugated board. The inked plates have a slightly raised image and rotate at high speeds to transfer the image to the substrate.
· Check Daily Job Schedule written on Daily Production Report (DPR), make sure that every job has Production Report Form (PRF) attached with Factory Card and Lay-out.
· If Plain Jobs, Set the slotter into desired dimensions of slot. If printed jobs, mount the printing plate into the cylinder/drum according again to the print dimensions which can be refer on the attached lay-out.
· Get the needed inks only. The inks are indicated on the lay-out form.
· Record your Setting Time. Upon setting, write down the time, when did you start and stop setting in PRF and DPR.
· Qualify your first trial. Make sure to follow all the required dimensions based on the Lay-out form attached at the back of Factory Card.
Ø Qualify boards based on the sizes, flute, and type of paper (brown or white Kraft) check if there are unnecessary marks, cracks on scoring and misaligned cuts of blade.
Ø Qualify details based on dimensions of figures and as well as the text prints.
Ø Qualify the figures one by one and text prints letter by letter to determine if there's missing.
Ø Qualify the inks based on the attached layout and color guide or sample.
· Call for QC Approval. QC must sign the Production Report Form proving that trial run is good for mass production, strictly imposed "NO QUALITY CHECK, NO MASS PRO."
· Adjustments of Prints. If the first output fail to meet the required dimensions, make adjustments based on the advice of QC and check again afterwards.
· Start Mass Production after QC Check and randomly check your output. Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
· Perform based on standard production Time and Motion Study.
· Record your Running Time. Upon running, record on what time you started and finished.
· Record your output and Provide WIP tagging for your finished job, indicate Customer Name and Brand, JO number, Quantity and next process and put on the item.
· Place the accomplished items on the area of the next process.
REPORTING:
· Report and record all necessary delays encountered during work in the Delays Section of your DPR.
· Record all necessary information needed in Production Report Form and Daily Production Report every time you do the job.
· If problem arise in your materials, intercept problem by filling up an Interception Report Form and present to Supervisor for the action to be taken.
· Report immediately to Supervisors when noticed anything which will affect assembly line output.
· Return your reports; Daily Production Report, Production Report Form in your Supervisor.
GOOD HOUSEKEEPING:
· Clean your working area 15 minutes before and after your work.
· Always keep the working areas neat and orderly. Put away all the unnecessary objects.
· Put all the tools in its proper places.
· Every end of the shift, make sure to put all the scrap, trimmings and reject boards in a cage and sent in the baling area afterwards. No cage, scrap, stretch film, used tapes, or reject materials should be left in the working area.
· Separately dispose used stretch films and tapes in a sack.
· Make sure that all printing plates used are clean and dry before storage.
· Acetates and blades should be returned to die-setter.
· All remaining inks should be sealed again and returned to Stockman.
OTHERS:
· Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
