Directs the operation of a comprehensive ICT operation including infrastructure installation and
maintenance, security, troubleshooting, policy and procedure direction and administration.
- Financial E.g.:
- Assist with forecasting the Departmental Budget
- Corporate IT Asset management for all computer equipment
- Strategically develop and implement Corporate Capital Expenditure plans and forecasts
- Develop cost projections for new projects/initiatives in support of Operations
- Accountable for ongoing budget variation
- Procurement E.g.:
- Negotiate with vendors and providers
- Development and issuance of RFP/RFQ
- Establish preferred vendor selection
- Extensively plan procurement that supports Corporate project timelines and objectives
- Directs all phases of the procurement cycle
- Manage and maintain vendor relationships
- Special Projects on own initiative and as directed by CIO, E.g.:
- Investigate and research new technologies
- Play a leadership and participatory role in Global ICT initiatives and committees
- Ad-hoc projects and initiatives
- Co-ordinate the Branch move adds/changes activity
- Manage Human Resources. E.g..:
- Conduct applicable performance reviews
- Review and establish compensation levels
- Monitor absentee report/vacation
- Develop and implement training and development plans
- Infrastructure, e.g.:
- Develop and design standard architecture models
- Research and establish standards
- Accountable for Disaster Recovery architecture and functional viability
- Accountable for Enterprise security and integrity
- Accountable for the Corporate data network, servers, workstation fleet, and storage infrastructure
- Liaise with industry experts to ensure currency with the latest technology
- Ensure the latest emerging technologies are researched and investigated
- Research, select, and implement ongoing support models for new systems and applications
- Administration E.g.:
- Corporate inventory records
- Development of procedures and policies
- Ensure compliance with standards and various regulatory bodies
- Documentation of configuration standards
- Communication to internal and external stakeholders
- Accountable to meet/exceed internal and external SLA measurements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, math, or a related field.
- 10 years of progressive professional experience
- Strong Management skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Team Leadership and coaching
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker
- Thorough knowledge of Enterprise infrastructure
- Strong Project Management
- Wide technical breadth of knowledge across multiple IT-related fields
