We're Hiring: Maritime Instructor (Full-Time, On-Site)

Join us as we raise the standards of maritime education and training.

We are seeking a skilled Maritime Instructor who holds a Master certificate or equivalent management level license, with IMO Model Courses 6.09 and 3.12 completed. The ideal candidate will have a degree in BS Maritime Transportation, plus at least one year experience serving as a merchant officer (3rd or 2nd Officer).


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, demonstrations, seminars, and practical sessions in maritime transportation and associated subjects.
  • Facilitate student-centered learning aligned with STCW/IMO standards, ensuring compliance with international conventions.
  • Design curriculum, lesson plans, assessment tools, and evaluation methods.
  • Conduct assessments, examinations and certifying processes for students under the IMO 3.12 framework.
  • Maintain records of student progress, attendance, assessments, and course evaluations.
  • Collaborate with training administration to ensure courses meet accreditation requirements.
  • Participate in professional development for instructors; stay updated on maritime education standards, simulator technologies, and safety regulations.

Qualifications
  • Educational: BS in Maritime Transportation (or equivalent).
  • License: Master's certificate / Management Level license.
  • IMO Courses: Completed IMO Model Course 6.09 (Training Course for Instructors) and IMO Model Course 3.12 (Assessment, Examination and Certification of Seafarers).
  • Sea Experience: Minimum one (1) year service as a Merchant Officer — preferably as 3rd or 2nd Officer.
  • Instruction Experience: Prior teaching, training, or instructional role is a plus (academic or onboard).
  • Skills: Strong communicative ability; familiarity with classroom & practical training; ability to assess and certify according to STCW guidelines.
