Senior Manufacturing Product Engineer

The Opportunity:
This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, manufacturability, and yield of semiconductor products throughout their lifecycle. This position involves comprehensive engineering analysis, timely disposition of production lots, and proactive implementation of corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues. The engineer will serve as a key technical interface between various internal teams and external partners, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the qualification of new products and test systems in a dynamic, high-volume manufacturing environment.

What Will You Do:

Product Performance & Yield Management:

• Perform in-depth engineering analysis, bench verification, and root cause investigation on low yield, maverick lots, and customer return (CI reject) material, utilizing electrical test data, statistical analysis, and failure analysis results.
• Drive timely and accurate disposition of non-conforming or suspect production lots, collaborating with Quality and Manufacturing teams to implement effective containment and corrective actions.
• Proactively identify yield detractors and manufacturing inefficiencies, developing and executing improvement plans to enhance product yield, quality, and reliability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Issue Resolution:

• Interface closely with U.S. and global counterparts on critical engineering issues, including low yield and maverick lot analysis, CI reject evaluations, test program problems, and hardware/system-related challenges.
• Interact effectively with other departments (e.g., Design, Test, Process, Quality, Reliability) to resolve product-related issues and ensure seamless production flow

New Product & System Qualification:

• Lead or participate in the qualification activities for new products, new test systems, new test software, and new hardware, ensuring their readiness for high-volume manufacturing and adherence to performance specifications.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring smooth ramp-up, process stability, and manufacturability.

Test System & Equipment Optimization:

• Design, modify, and optimize test systems and equipment as needed, to enhance test coverage, improve efficiency, and eliminate processing errors, thereby improving overall product quality.
• Support the development and validation of new test programs and methodologies.

Who You Are:

• Higher Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Equivalent semiconductor industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of [e.g., 3-5] years of hands-on experience in a Product Engineering, Test Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering role within the semiconductor industry.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), including troubleshooting, repair, and product/equipment characterization.
• Proven experience in performing engineering analysis, lot disposition, and implementing corrective actions for low yield, maverick, and customer return (CI reject) lots.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics and manufacturing processes (wafer fabrication, assembly, test).
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis methods and tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab, Excel) for product and process characterization.
• Demonstrated experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) for monitoring and improving manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge and practical experience in the use of advanced statistical techniques for machine assessments, such as Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, product datasheets, and test programs.
