Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

Oversee the entire manufacturing process to ensure production targets are met.

Monitor equipment, production lines, and manpower utilization to maximize efficiency.

Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensure compliance with production schedules and quality standards.

2. Planning & Forecasting

Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and procurement teams to develop production plans based on forecasted demand.

Ensure raw materials and labor resources are aligned with production needs.

Monitor and adjust production plans as needed to accommodate changes in demand or resource availability.

3. Financial & Cost Control

Manage plant budget and control operational costs without compromising quality or output.

Analyze operational data and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Prepare regular reports on plant performance, expenses, and productivity.

4. People Management

Lead, coach, and develop department heads and production teams.

Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.

Promote a strong company culture and a safe, respectful workplace.

Address staffing needs and coordinate training and development programs.

5. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

Ensure plant operations comply with all safety, environmental, and legal regulations.

Oversee implementation of health and safety protocols.

Conduct regular safety audits and enforce corrective actions when necessary.

6. Quality Assurance

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure product standards are met.

Identify and resolve quality issues promptly.

Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

7. Continuous Improvement & Strategic Projects

Drive operational excellence through process improvements and innovation.

Lead or support projects aimed at increasing capacity, reducing downtime, and enhancing product quality.

Implement best practices in production, maintenance, and logistics.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field (Master's preferred)

5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

Strong understanding of production management, lean manufacturing, and quality systems

Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Proficiency in ERP systems and data-driven operations management

Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities

Working Conditions

Based at the manufacturing facility; may require weekend or night shifts depending on production needs

Fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Involves regular interaction with production floors, equipment, and various departments
