Gapan Central Luzon, Philippines Meralco PowerGen (MGEN) Full time ₱2,000,000 - ₱2,500,000 per year

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Electrical Engineer or equivalent to serve as
Project Manager (PM) for the MTerra Solar Project in Gapan, Nueva Ecija.
The PM will oversee different initiatives and aspects of projects under construction, monitors their progress and completion, and ensures that the projects meet the project owners' requirements. The PM works with assigned project teams to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.

The PM will provide input as to the constructability of the solar farm, reviewing designs, reviewing EPC proposals, and preparing metrics to be used during construction.

Key Responsibilities

A. Project Delivery Execution and Coordination

Works closely with the Head of Execution in the development and delivery of:

  • Milestone events (plans, accomplishments and updates);
  • Project, internal and lender audit requirements;
  • Effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution;
  • Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget;
  • Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the project to Operations and Maintenance;
  • Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements; and
  • Other project implementation tasks

Coordinates with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines and schedules.

B. Project Coordination Support (as applicable)

  • Supports the OCTO, Business Development and/or Legal/Regulatory teams in technical discussions with external parties such as host LGUs, DOE, BOC, etc.
  • Coordinates as necessary with other stakeholder departments thru the project director (e.g. Business Development, Legal and Regulatory, Finance Planning, etc.) to support project delivery tasks
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the project director, OCTO Construction Management Group Head, or designated representative.

Job Requirements

  • BS. Electrical Engineering or equivalent; preferably Registered Electrical Engineer.
  • Must have at least
    10 years' relevant and significant experience in project delivery in construction testing and commissioning, in the power generation sector
    ,
    preferably in utility-scale solar. Design experience is a plus.
  • Must be in good standing as defined by the Philippine Regulatory Commission and the applicable professional society. Candidates with current PMP qualifications, or active credits earned within the last three (3) years, will be given priority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage time to meet strict project deadlines.
  • Willing to accept project-based employment status.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Willing to be assigned in Nueva Ecija.
