Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, or services to support the company's operational needs. This role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards, lead times, and supplier reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers and vendors for goods, materials, and services.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to secure optimal value.
  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of inventory and supplies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Warehouse, Finance) to confirm specifications and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, damaged goods, or vendor non-compliance.
  • Research market trends, pricing, and potential suppliers to ensure competitive sourcing.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, company standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare procurement reports and cost analyses for management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and procurement or ERP systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with Philippine suppliers and basic importation processes is a plus.
