Reports to: Electrical Engineering Supervisor

Job Description

In this role, you'll be assisting the Electrical Engineering Supervisor in overseeing all MEP-related work of subcontractors within the project site. To ensure success as a MEP Engineer, you should be able to ensure MEP-related activities and materials stay within budget while maintaining quality of work and accurate documentation of records.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate problem-solving, as may arise, between MEP Subcontractors during construction.
  • Validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions.
  • Assist in the receipt and review of MEP submittals.
  • Log and post all MEP changes and as-built information on field drawings.
  • Assist in the scoping review, budgeting, and justification of MEP change work order.
  • Assist in the installation of MEP-related work
  • Direct, monitor, and control the activities of all MEP-related work.
  • Coordinate and administer MEP-related materials, systems, and shop drawings.
  • Liaison with supervisory Engineers, Inspectors, and relevant staff.
  • Ensure that MEP-related activities provide and adhere to relevant Quality documentation/records
  • Assist in the testing and commissioning of MEP-related equipment.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Director of Engineering and the Managing Director

Skills & Experience

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, construction management, or a related field, with good academic standing
  • Possession of or progress toward a relevant certification is a plus, specifically MEP Engineering
  • Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications, and schematics associated with trade.
  • Ideally, at least 2 years of experience in MEP-related work for small to medium-scale residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, and/or corporate projects (e.g. offices, etc.)
  • Ability to put together a professional presentation of figures/cost estimates
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with Director of Engineering, Electrical Engineering Supervisor, Electrical Engineer and other team members
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a dynamic construction environment.
  • Maintain GTGO's standards and integrity in all cost estimation and quantity surveying activities.

Work arrangements

  • Full-time: 8am to 5pm, Monday-Saturday at project site in El Nido Palawan

Job Type: Fixed term

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
