The position of an AB (Able Bodied) Bargeman involves the operation, maintenance, and safety of a barge under the direction of an officer or master. This role requires practical skills in seamanship and regulatory compliance, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of cargo.

Qualifications/Requirements

At least High School or Vocational Course Graduate in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Technology or related technical fields

• Basic Seamanship or Marine Auxiliary Machinery Operation Valid Oiler License issued by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA)
• Valid Basic Safety Training (BST) and, Standard of Training, Certifications, and Watchkeeping Seafarers (STCW)
• Preferably with updated Seafarer's Identification and Record Book (SIRB)
• Experience as a Bargeman (Oiler) on barges, tugboats, or other marine vessels
• Experienced in engine room operations, lubrication, and routine maintenance of main and auxiliary engines
