Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of daily revenue transactions. This includes auditing and reconciling all income streams, preparing reports, and identifying any discrepancies. The role plays a key part in financial controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit daily revenue transactions for accuracy and completeness (e.g., room revenue, F&B, other outlets).
- Reconcile revenue postings against system reports and supporting documentation (e.g., POS, PMS, spreadsheets).
- Ensure all revenues are recorded in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in income records.
- Prepare daily revenue reports and summaries for management review.
- Review and verify the night audit reports submitted by front office or outlets.
- Assist with month-end closing by providing income reports and necessary reconciliations.
- Maintain organized records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Liaise with other departments (front office, F&B, events) to clarify or validate revenue transactions.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency of revenue reporting.
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a similar auditing or accounting role, preferably in hospitality or service industry.
- Experience with accounting and hotel systems (e.g., Opera PMS, Micros POS, SAP, SunSystems) is advantage.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Excellent numerical and reconciliation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based, often within a hotel, resort, or corporate finance department.
- May require flexible hours depending on operational needs (e.g., during month-end closings or audits).
