Dietician Nutritionist

The RDN is responsible for providing dietary assessments, nutrition planning, and patient counseling. As part of a healthcare team, the RDN helps promote health, manage diseases, and improve patients' nutritional health.

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' nutritional habits and health status.
2. Analyze dietary intake and identify nutritional deficiencies or excesses.
3. Develop personalized meal plans based on individual health needs, medical conditions, and dietary preferences.
4. Educate patients and families on nutritional practices and dietary modifications for health management.
5. Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into patient care.
6. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
7. Track patient progress and adjust meal plans as necessary.
8. Document patient care and outcomes in medical records as required.
9. Participate in health education programs and community outreach initiatives to promote nutrition awareness.
10. Stay updated on the latest nutrition research and incorporate findings into practice.
11. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
12. Attend regular meetings and activities of the hospital.

1. Bachelor's or Master's in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
2. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential, obtained by passing the Professional Regulation Commission board exam.
3. Strong analytical and assessment skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively.
6. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and nutrition analysis software.
