JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
  • 5+ years of professional automation experience;
  • Experience with CAD software for designing automated systems;
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles;
  • Knowledge of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and smart manufacturing technologies;
  • Experience working in a global team environment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement automated systems and processes for manufacturing and production lines;
  • Ensuring they meet quality standards and improve efficiency;
  • Programming: Create and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) configurations, and other automation software for various equipment and machinery;
  • Multi-Axis Robots & Pneumatics: Design and integrate multi-axis robotic systems and pneumatic components into production processes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability;
  • System Integration: Integrate automated systems with existing production equipment, ensuring seamless operation and minimal downtime;
  • Process Optimization: Analyze current production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement automation solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower operational costs;
  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with automation colleagues in Europe and Canada to align automation strategies, share best practices, and ensure consistency across global operations;
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on automation systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise to minimize production disruptions;
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure automation systems align with overall manufacturing goals and quality standards;
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation for automated systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals;
  • Training: Provide training and support to production staff on the operation and maintenance of automated systems
