Chief Steward

About the role

As the Chief Steward at Amorita Resort and Spa, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the resort's food and beverage service. This full-time role is based in the beautiful location of Puerto Princesa, Palawan offering an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the success of this leading hospitality organisation.

Job Duties:

• Manage and lead a team of stewards to ensure efficient food and beverage service across the resort
• Oversee the procurement, storage, and inventory management of all food, beverage, and related supplies
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to maintain high standards of service
• Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute catering for special events and functions
• Monitor and report on service and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Foster a positive, guest-centric culture among the service team

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in stewarding, kitchen operations, or a related area within the hospitality industry
• Supervisory or managerial experience in stewarding or kitchen support operations is usually required
• Experience in large-scale catering, hotel, or resort operations is a strong advantage
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities to ensure efficient operations
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality
• Formal training or qualifications in hospitality management or a related field
