M&A Principal

Pasig, National Capital Region, Philippines The Medical City Full time $150,000 - $200,000 per year

The Opportunity

This is a rare seat for someone ready to lead deals, not just support them.

We are building a national hospital platform through majority-stake acquisitions, and you will co-lead, and be at the center of, that build. You will work directly with your M&A Co-Head, Group CEO, Group CFO, Group Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer and other senior leaders on high conviction deals that will define the future of Philippines healthcare.

As M&A Principal, you will take ownership of live transactions from origination through to close. You will manage complex negotiations, guide junior level M&A resources, and drive results, presenting to the M&A Committee and defending your investment thesis.

You will be expected to think clearly, move fast, and operate with full visibility. This is a role for someone ready to take the lead. Not just supporting the deal but driving it.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Lead deal execution:
from initial contact through to closing, managing all phases of diligence, negotiation, documentation, and internal alignment.
  • Run the deal team:
Coordinate analysts and associates across financial modeling, diligence trackers, IC deck prep, and workstream timelines.
  • Drive strategic fit:
Quickly evaluate targets to assess whether they meet our financial, clinical, and operational standards as a platform-quality acquisition.
  • Own the process:
Keep internal and external teams on track—including advisors, legal counsel, financial consultants, and vendors.
  • Craft investment cases:
Draft and present investment committee materials with a clear view on value creation, risks, sensitivities, and integration challenges.
  • Negotiate with founders and boards:
Manage conversations with hospital owners, leadership teams, and brokers to bring deals over the line.
  • Be a thought partner:
to the M&A Committee and C-suite: as someone who adds judgment, sees around corners, and elevates work of those around them.

Who You Are

  • 6–8 years' experience in M&A, private equity, or IBD, with live deal under your belt, following the deal process through to closing / disbursement.
  • You should have seen both sides of DD, have taken at least one transaction through to SPA and funding, and know how to navigate local market realities.
  • A structured thinker with outstanding financial fluency. You understand not just the numbers, but how they translate to operational and strategic outcomes.
  • High EQ and calm under pressure. You know when to push, when to step back, and how to manage tough personalities.
  • You have managed junior talent before or are ready to step into a leadership role with confidence and accountability.
  • You are credible, decisive, and able to earn trust quickly. You don't need handholding, but you do know how to bring others with you.
  • You understand the hours, and the intensity and you are here for it. Long nights and unpredictable timelines are part of the game.

What You'll Get

  • A mandate to lead deals that matter.
  • Daily access to the Group CEO, GCFO, and senior leaders driving the business.
  • Direct exposure to top-tier international investors, operating at institutional scale with long-term ambitions and decades of deal experience.
  • A leadership role within a high-trust, high-performance team culture that rewards clarity, output, and ownership.
  • A platform to step up: whether you want to become a future senior investment professional, move into management, or transition to Corporate Development.

If you want a predictable, comfortable lifestyle with significant hand holding – this is not the opportunity or role for you.

  • But if you want intensity, learning, growth, and a front-row seat in building something meaningful, with substantial live deal exposure, you will thrive here.
