The Strategic Communications Officer is responsible for developing strategies, planning activities, and managing the implementation of internal and external corporate communication projects and programs in support of the organization's overall business plans.

Job Descriptions:

  • Contribute to the planning, development and maintenance of programs covering internal and external communications; public, media and government relations; digital and social marketing.
  • Manage and update the form and content of the Northern Star website; the Northern Star Post; and the company's social media accounts.
  • Increase awareness of the corporate brand and strengthen strategic partnerships by helping develop and conduct stakeholder engagements such as Northern Star-hosted events and corporate social responsibility programs.
  • Work closely with all internal stakeholders i.e. Customer Experience and Marketing Teams to develop customized solutions for their corporate communications needs and assure alignment of corporate and department activities based on agreed business plans and targets.
  • Coordinate with the PTC Communications Unit to deliver all aspects of corporate communications solutions for and on behalf of Northern Star to the PTC Group.
  • Provide support in managing the corporate brand to ensure consistency of messaging in line with Northern Star's vision, mission, values, corporate brand positioning, business strategies & objectives for future growth.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:

  • College degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Broadcast Journalism and related courses or equivalent extensive work experience for unrelated fields
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • At least two-year work experience or its equivalent
  • Excellent writing skills in English and Filipino
  • Demonstrated strong ability in effective oral and written communication; ease in the use of level entry digital single-lens reflex camera for both photography and videography
  • With firm grasp of emerging digital tools
  • Possess broad knowledge of best digital practices
