Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots molding machinery to ensure efficient production of high-quality parts, including setting up machines, performing preventative maintenance, inspecting molds and products, and making adjustments to maintain quality standards. This physical, hands-on role involves understanding technical processes, reading technical documents, working in potentially hot and noisy environments, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation & Setup: Operate, calibrate, and maintain plastic injection molding or other casting machinery. This includes setting up molds, adjusting machine parameters, and ensuring machines are in proper working order.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance, conduct mold inspections, and repair any damage or issues with the molds or machinery to minimize downtime and ensure consistent quality.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards and troubleshoot equipment or tooling problems during production to resolve issues quickly.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve problems with the molding process, materials, or equipment to improve system performance.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere to all safety protocols and company safety procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Documentation: Document mold changes, machine adjustments, maintenance activities, and equipment issues.
