Job Title:

MEFPS Engineer

(Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, and Sanitary)

Job Summary:

The MEPFS Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, supervision, and quality control of all Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, and Sanitary works in the project site. The role ensures that all MEPFS systems are installed according to approved plans, specifications, and relevant codes and standards, while coordinating closely with other disciplines and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Technical Review:

  • Review and understand MEPFS plans, technical specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Validate compliance of designs and drawings with local codes and engineering standards.
  • Coordinate design discrepancies and revisions with consultants or design team.

Construction & Site Supervision:

  • Monitor installation and execution of MEPFS systems on-site.
  • Ensure workmanship and materials meet quality standards and approved drawings.
  • Coordinate daily with contractors and subcontractors regarding work schedules and inspections.
  • Conduct inspections for mechanical, electrical, fire, and sanitary works.
  • Prepare punch lists and ensure timely rectification of deficiencies.

Coordination & Documentation:

  • Coordinate MEPFS activities with other engineering disciplines (civil, architectural, structural).
  • Monitor and update daily/weekly progress of MEPFS works.
  • Attend coordination and technical meetings.
  • Maintain site logs, reports, and technical documentation related to MEPFS.

Testing & Commissioning:

  • Assist in planning and overseeing testing, commissioning, and handover of MEPFS systems.
  • Ensure that test protocols, safety procedures, and performance standards are followed.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, and Sanitary engineering systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting MEPFS drawings and specifications.
  • Familiar with relevant codes (e.g., NFPA, PEC, NPC, ASHRAE).
  • Knowledgeable in construction site operations and safety procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD or BIM software knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Licensed engineer (preferred but not required for junior positions).
  • At least 1–3 years of experience in construction projects (fresh graduates may apply for entry-level roles).
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
