A Purchasing Specialist are the sources and coordinates with potential vendors/suppliers. This includes evaluating quotes and negotiating terms of payments and delivery lead time. Prepares Purchase Orders and tracking/storing of the documents (i.e. Invoices) related to the purchase. Also able to receive and confirm goods are in good condition, oversee the return for defective items.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research potential vendors
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Review the quality of purchased products
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends
  • Perform and assist to eliminate any discrepancy in same and prepare all contract terms and conditions
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities or tasks that are not stipulated on this document but assigned by your superior or required by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.

Experience: at least two (2) years of working experience in the related field
