Job Description

  • Safely operate company-assigned trucks to transport goods from pickup to delivery locations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of items based on assigned trips and routes.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Secure and properly load goods to prevent damage during transport.
  • Coordinate with dispatch or logistics personnel for trip assignments, route updates, and delivery instructions.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery receipts, and other required documents.
  • Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
  • Report mechanical issues, delays, or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and in good operating condition.
  • Provide good customer service and professionalism during pickups and deliveries.

Job Qualifications

  • At least High School graduate.
  • With a valid Professional Driver's License (Restriction 2, & 3 or appropriate categories for truck type).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a truck driver (closed van, forward truck, wing van, etc. depending on company requirement).
  • Familiar with major routes, highways, and provincial roads.
  • Good driving record with no major traffic violations.
  • Physically fit and able to lift, load, or assist in handling cargo when necessary.
  • Willing to work on flexible schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on trip assignments.
  • Responsible, honest, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Preferably with basic knowledge of vehicle troubleshooting.
