Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assisting the CLIENT in performing daily operation or task management functions, which include customer liaison, coordination of technical issues resolution, and providing support in PV plant initiation activities and the preparation of operation and maintenance planning
  • Executing general PV plant operation, maintenance, inspection, housekeeping, and coordination activities
  • Assist in the Monitoring and reporting PV plant operational status, and assisting in the control and reporting of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks against schedule and plan, for the CLIENT's review and action
  • Performing a variety of tasks crucial for ensuring optimal and safe operation of equipment that produces and distributes electrical power:
  • *The O&M Contractor shall ensure that its personnel shall abide by the rules and regulations that may be issued by the CLIENT from time to time, including without limitation those pertaining to safety, quality, and environmental compliance. Whatever instructions may be given by the CLIENT directly to the O&M Contractor's employees shall be construed simply as a desire by the CLIENT to ensure maximum safety and efficiency in the delivery of the Services, but the employees of the O&M Contractor are and shall remain the regular employees of the O&M Contractor receiving direct supervision from it and/or such of its supervisors as are assigned to the CLIENT
  • Adhering to and implementing all relevant safety protocols and legal codes to ensure proper operation of equipment and minimize risks to property and personnel.
  • Assisting in the execution of operation and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with the Scope of Work and quality objectives of the PV plant
  • Facilitating effective communication with the design team, vendor, and third parties
  • Supporting the CLIENT in coordinating all technical reviews with both stakeholders and internal teams within the PV plant
  • Assisting the CLIENT in providing accurate, timely, and effective reporting to inform decision making and smooth operations
  • Assisting the CLIENT in preparing and contributing to regular, clear reports for management decision-making and ensuring smooth operations.
  • The O&M Contractor shall be solely responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, replacement, and dismissal of its own regular employees assigned to the CLIENT.
  • The O&M Contractor shall provide training to its employees to enhance skills and maintain certifications required by as per scope of work and government regulations to improving support capabilities 6 days a week

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  1. Education & Qualifications

● Electrical Engineer

● Must be Registered Master Electrician

● Licenses or certifications (e.g., PRC, TESDA NC II, CompTIA A+, etc.)

  1. Experience

● 1–3 years of relevant hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair

● Familiarity with tools, equipment, and procedures specific to the technical field

● Experience working in an industrial, Solar Power Plant (preferred)

  1. Technical Skills

● Proficient in reading technical drawings, manuals, and schematics

● Skilled in diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance

● Knowledge of safety standards and compliance regulations

● Ability to operate tools, machines, and measuring instruments related to the job

● Basic computer skills (for documentation, reporting, or system interfaces)

  1. Physical & Mental Requirements

● Good physical condition (ability to stand, kneel, or lift equipment)

● Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

● Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights (if applicable)

● Attention to detail and strong analytical thinking

● Willingness to work in shifts, overtime, or on-call duty if required

● Fieldwork and/or shop floor environment

● Exposure to machinery, electrical systems, or IT networks

● Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols required

Technical Competencies

  1. Electrical Installation & Maintenance

○ Wiring (residential, commercial, industrial)

○ Installation of circuit breakers, panels, outlets, lighting systems

  1. Reading & Interpreting Technical Drawings

○ Electrical blueprints

○ Schematic diagrams

  1. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

○ Identifying faults in electrical systems

○ Using tools like multimeters, testers

  1. Knowledge of Electrical Codes & Standards

○ National Electrical Code (PEC), IEC standards, or local equivalents

  1. System Testing & Commissioning

○ Conducting continuity, insulation resistance, and functional tests

  1. Knowledge of Control Systems

○ Basic understanding of PLCs, motor controls, and automation (for industrial electricians)

○ Understanding of load balancing, power factor correction, etc.
