Job Objective

The Store Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the wet market store to ensure efficient sales, maximize profit, deliver excellent customer service, ensure proper product handling, and maintain compliance with hygiene and safety standards. This role includes supervising staff, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Motivate, train, and mentor the sales team to meet sales objectives.
  • Develop business strategies to attract new customers, increase store traffic, and enhance profitability.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate replenishment.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally.
  • Ensure store compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements, and profits.
  • Oversee and assist market staff/vendors to ensure efficient service and proper customer handling.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for product delivery, pricing, and quality checks.
  • Report operational issues and provide suggestions for improvement to management.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years living in the current address.

At least 2 years of experience working in a wet market store environment.

Strong leadership and customer management abilities.

Physically fit to work in a wet market environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and early morning shifts.

Trustworthy with high integrity; no bad records or integrity issues.
