Job Summary:

The Tax Compliance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the company's tax compliance activities, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns, and adherence to local tax laws and regulations. This role supports the organization by minimizing tax risks and ensuring compliance with government requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage tax compliance processes, including preparation and filing of BIR returns (VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, etc.).
  • Ensure timely submission of tax reports, payments, and compliance with regulatory deadlines.
  • Review tax computations, schedules, and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies (e.g., BIR).
  • Assist in tax audits, assessments, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain proper tax documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior tax or accounting staff.
  • Identify tax risks and recommend process improvements to enhance compliance and efficiency.
  • Support management in tax planning initiatives and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance; CPA is preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience handling tax audits and liaising with government agencies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • High attention to detail and integrity.
