JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for leading the ACF team during field operations, ensuring smooth

execution of activities from coordination, screening process oversight, to

reporting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coordinate with partner organizations and local officials for scheduling and

preparations.

1. Conduct ocular inspection of target sites prior to ACF implementation.

2. Lead and supervise the ACF team during field operations.

3. Oversee the overall ACF process, ensuring adherence to protocols.

4. Troubleshoot operational issues encountered during ACF activities.

5. Prepare accomplishment reports detailing number screened, presumptive TB identified, sputum collected, and referrals made after every ACF activity.

6. Consolidate and submit monthly accomplishment reports on ACF activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Registered Nurse with valid license.

 2 years of experience in field health operations, preferably TB programs is preferred

 Experience in leading a health team.

 Good communication, coordination, and troubleshooting skills

 Computer literate (MS Office).

 Must be willing to travel to different areas to support TB control activities and other PTSI initiatives, particularly during Active Case Finding (ACF) operations

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

PTSI SCREENS (Saving Communities by Reaching, Empowering, Engaging Network Support) is a community-focused TB initiative spearheaded by the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. (PTSI) that seeks to reduce the burden of tuberculosis in high-incidence areas through innovative, high-impact active case finding (ACF) strategies. Anchored on PTSI's hub-and-spoke model, the project integrates ultra-portable chest X-ray technology equipped with computer-aided detection (CAD-AI) and WHO-recommended rapid molecular diagnostics (mWRD) to improve early TB detection, prompt treatment initiation, and contact tracing at the community level.

The project aims to screen an additional 48,000 individuals, on top of PTSI's national commitment of 71,000, across three high-priority provinces: Cavite (Region IV-A), Iloilo, and Capiz (Region VI). These areas are selected based on high TB prevalence, urban density, and prior project engagements, making them strategic locations for targeted interventions.

The project's implementation includes comprehensive site preparation, social mobilization, on-site diagnostic testing, nutritional support, and seamless referral mechanisms to ensure treatment initiation and TB preventive therapy (TPT) for eligible contacts. PTSI will deploy four mobile ACF teams operating over five months to reach underserved and at-risk populations with the goal of identifying 1,440 individuals with TB and initiating treatment, while also protecting an equal number of close contacts from disease progression through TPT.

It aims to delivers high-yield screening and diagnostic services and promote long-term sustainability by embedding activities into local health systems, fostering community ownership, and advocating for continued investment from government and development partners.
