Purpose of the Role

The Fuel Pricing Analyst will be responsible for monitoring market trends, analyzing pricing

strategies, and optimizing pricing models to maximize profitability and market competitiveness for company-owned and retail-operated gas stations.

Key Responsibilities:

Market & Competitive Price Monitoring


• Track fuel market trends, competitor prices, and industry benchmarks.


• Deliver daily/weekly market and competitor reports.


• Update cost structures and conduct value-added analysis.

Price Setting & Adjustment Strategy


• Ensure retail prices maximize delivered margin.


• Recommend dynamic pricing based on demand, location, volume, and customer segments.


• Forecast pricing impact using historical data and scenario simulations.

Profitability & Margin Management


• Provide timely cost and margin info to sales for pricing decisions.


• Support retail pricing and ensure alignment with margin targets.


• Monitor margins and identify improvement opportunities.

Convenience Retail Operations Support


• Provide pricing guidance and approvals for sales and tenders.


• Collaborate on promotional and bulk pricing strategies.


• Report pump and competitor prices for compliance.

Regulatory & Compliance Monitoring


• Manage smooth and accurate price change processes.


• Ensure compliance with government fuel pricing regulations and subsidy programs.

Reporting & Insights


• Prepare regular pricing performance and variance reports.


• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to management.

System & Process Improvement


• Develop and enforce competitive pricing processes and controls.


• Continuously improve pricing tools, systems, and authority levels.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills & Personal Attributes


• Strong analytical skills


• Proficiency in financial modeling and statistical analysis


• Advanced proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and ERP systems


• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into

actionable insights


• Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
