Finance Officer

Field-based: Maguindanao del Sur & Special Geographic Areas (SGAs), BARMM

About the Role

Plan International Pilipinas is seeking a Finance Officer to support the project team through budget monitoring, cash disbursement, records keeping and financial reporting. The project is for the repair and refurbishment of birthing facilities in BARMM. This project addresses urgent health disparities in newly established municipalities with limited infrastructure, focusing on:

  • Repair and refurbishment of birthing facilities
  • Community organizing and inter-village health cooperation
  • Deployment of skilled health personnel (midwives and doctors)

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Community Project Requests, Community Advance Payment Requests, Request for Payments, Cash Advances, Liquidations, Reimbursements and Petty Cash Fund Replenishment.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports on time and weekly reconciliation of cross charges.
  • Facilitate workshops and orientations on finance to program participants and/or partners.
  • Reviews and monitors partner budgets and expenditures.
  • Furnish all required financial documents during audit season or as necessary
  • Support emergency response efforts in project areas when needed.

Qualifications

  • University graduate in Accounting or Business Administration, or related fields
  • Training in computer operations, financial management.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or business administration
  • Relevant work experience in monitoring budgets and expenses in an NGO setting is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate with management on the project's financial status and provide recommendations as necessary.
  • Working knowledge on the general procurement process is an advantage.
  • Must be a Filipino citizen and currently based in the Philippines
