Job Title: Podcast & Video Editor
Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Podcast & Video Editor to produce high-quality audio and video content for our brand. The ideal candidate has strong storytelling instincts, advanced editing skills, and a deep understanding of content optimized for YouTube, social media, and podcast platforms.


Key Responsibilities
Podcast Editing
  • Edit long-form podcast episodes (audio and/or video).
  • Clean and enhance audio (noise reduction, leveling, EQ, compression).
  • Add intro/outro music, transitions, and sound design elements.
  • Remove filler words, long pauses, and off-topic digressions while maintaining natural flow.
  • Mix and master episodes for platform-appropriate loudness standards.
  • Export final files and upload to podcast distribution platforms.
Video Editing
  • Edit long-form video content, including podcast video episodes, interviews, and YouTube videos.
  • Create short-form clips (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) optimized for vertical video.
  • Add captions, motion graphics, b-roll, and visual effects to enhance storytelling.
  • Color-correct and color-grade footage.
  • Select music, sound effects, and supporting media.
Content Workflow
  • Collaborate with hosts, producers, and marketing team to understand the creative direction.
  • Work from raw footage, multi-cam recordings, remote guest recordings, and audio files.
  • Maintain organized project files and manage content libraries.
  • Meet weekly content deadlines and ensure consistent quality.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a podcast or video editor (portfolio required).
  • Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and/or Adobe Audition.
  • Strong audio-mixing and video-editing skills.
  • Understanding of storytelling, pacing, and social-first content.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with YouTube algorithms, podcast publishing, and social media formats (preferred).
